Lions

Lions can be very dangerous animals. They are very powerful, which explains their nickname of the King of the Jungle. Even though it may seem as if the male lion does all the work and hunting, all he does is watch the cubs in case of predators. He is there to warn predators even if all he does is sleep most of the day. While the male lion guards the cubs, the female lion is out hunting. She hunts for Gazelles, Antelopes, Impalas, Zebras, Buffalo, Wild Boar, and the very hard, but tasty prey, the Wildebeast. Males are about 48 inches tall and, can usually weigh around 350 to 400 lbs, but they can weigh alot more. However, Females can weigh less-around 250-300 lbs, and are about 44 inches tall. The female lion can live up to 18 years old while the male lion can only live up to around 12 years old. SCROLL DOWN!!
