Lynx

Picture
The lynx is a cat that likes to be alone. They live in the remote northern forests of North America, Europe, and Asia. Lynx are covered with beautiful, thick fur that keeps them warm during frigid winters. Their large paws are also furry and hit the ground like snowshoes. they like to avoid humans, hunt at night, and are rarely ever seen. Did you know that there are different species of lynx? very few of them survive in Europe but those that do, like their Asian relatives, are normally larger than their North American relatives, the Canada lynx. All lynx are skilled hunters, and can spot a mouse several meters away. The Canada lynx eat mice, squirrels, and birds, but would rather eat the snowshoe hare. They are very dependent on this prey. Lynx mate in early spring or late winter. About two months afterwards, females give birth to a litter of one to four cubs.
